DCUfm is always on the lookout for new volunteers to join the team.
Whether it’s news, sport, music, arts, talk or Irish language programmes, we want to hear from you. You can join as a presenter, or work behind the scenes editing or producing if you prefer.
What we’re looking for:
Commitment and reliability. Don’t say you’re going to do something if you’re not likely to be available.
You can do as much or as little as you like, but be clear about what times you are / aren’t free.
Radio listeners. To know what good radio sounds like, you should be a regular radio listener.
Interested in a music show? Specify what specific genres you like and what bands you enjoy. Don’t say you like “all types” of music!
No previous experience is required – for many of our volunteers DCUfm is their first foray into the radio world. If you have recordings of previous work you’ve done, email your MP3s to us too. If the file is too big to attach, use websites like WeTransfer to upload the file and send us the link.
